🏷 Apple orchards & Rajma
Harsil apples are worldwide famous for their taste & flavours. Many varieties of apples are grown here (Royal, delicious, granny Smith, gala). The harvesting of apples starts from sept last till November.
🏷 Harsil Rajma is famous for its taste. It is sold for rs300/kg on Amazon. It's harvesting starts from Sept last till November last.
🏷 Trekking
Many trekking routes pass through harsil valley . It offers many beautiful & famous trek including Kyarkoti, Lama top, Sat tal & Srikanth .
🏷 Mukhimath/Mukhba
When Gangotri dham is closed during winters, Goddess Ganga is brought down to Mukhba village, which is just 1km from harsil valley. Devotees can visit Goddess Ganga here during winters.
How to reach Harsil Valley
Dehradun to Uttarkashi : From Dehradun to Uttarkashi, you can either take a bus or a taxi, which takes 4-5 hours.
Uttarkshi to Harsil valley : There is no bus service from Uttarkashi to Harsil so one can take taxi from uttarkashi taxi stand which may take 3 hours.

During Summers 🌞
When travelling during monsoon/ summer make sure to check weather forecast, because there is high chances of landslides .
During Winters ⛄
When travelling in winters, make sure to check 10 days weather forecast, because there are high chances of heavy snowfall (3-4ft) , which makes the road more slippery. Make sure to take warm woolen clothes and high ankle boots.
Interesting facts about Harsil valley
It is believed that , Lord Vishnu has taken the form of a hari to reduce the flow of Bhagirathi. or has taken the form of a stone's sheela to reduce the frefrenetic flow of Bhagirathi, thus called Harsil Valley .
